Do you offer solar monitoring?
Yes. We offer monitoring as an optional service.
Monitoring allows us to ensure your system is working as it should be. If it’s not working how it’s supposed to, we let you know. Some customers find they enjoy keeping an eye on the numbers too. Solahart provides the app for monitoring your Solar PV, while Tesla’s app monitors the battery performance.
While monitoring is ideal, you can still enjoy all the benefits of solar without a monitoring system. Paying attention to your quarterly electricity bill should alert you to any abnormalities.
If ever you’re unsure, just give us a call.
Can I add extra solar panels to my existing system?
Yes. We do this often. In some cases, the system inverter is already at capacity. We look at what is installed, the roof capacity, cable sizing, etc., and go from there.
In some cases, we will recommend replacing the entire solar system. This is only done when necessary. If we replace an old solar system with a modern one it’s because it is more efficient or suitable to the customer’s needs.
We do not push unneeded products. If we believe a product will help a customer reach their goals, we will recommend it. If not, we won’t. Simple as that.
How many solar panels do I need?
Great question!
This will differ from house to house or business to business and it's impossible to say without understanding your energy requirements.
For this reason, we perform a free solar assessment which includes a site visit during which we assess your property and energy needs.
This usually involves getting on the roof, checking screw lines and opening up the switchboard to fully understand your circumstances. Any requirements and considerations will be thoroughly explained to you. We are also there to listen; we want to know about your lifestyle, energy usage and location to ensure we design the best system to meet your home or business goals.
Once we understand your energy needs and property, we can calculate how many solar panels you will need and also estimate the potential savings made by switching to solar.
Will solar power cover my electric heating usage?
Yes. We know how to design solar systems that support our customer’s energy requirements all year round.
Winter in the Orange and the Central Tablelands can be harsh and unforgiving. At the same time, gas prices are going through the roof. This puts an unfair burden on everyone. We’re here to support the community in its transition to cheaper, sustainable energy sources.
We'll calculate your estimated saving as part of our on-site solar assessment which we complete for all customers.
